Art is for me a way of life, not a separate activity.
It is a combination of love, skill and attention.
Love is the quality of surrender; no holding back, but
letting go and allowing something to come
through myself.
Skill comes through regular practice. Day after day I
have to devote myself to using heavy material, cutting
lead/glass or other materials and creating "shells",
shapes for my bodies.
Creating art also requires me to pay attention. The
mind has to be fully present. For me it is a form of
meditation
The source of inspiration for my art is the nature and
behaviour of we human beings. There is a vitality, a
life force, an energy in us that I would like to
translate through my work.
The nature of my work is the desire to express the human existence by giving shape and form to the emotive forces that lie beneath the appearance of everyday reality.
