ARTIST STATEMENT:

Unpleasant things get swept under the carpet. Many unpleasant things are swept along under our feet beneath inspection covers! Using this image I wish to draw attention to some of the things we do to our world and would rather cover up.
The slave trade (centred 200 years ago in Liverpool), Hiroshima (the first major man made catastrophe), wars, fast food, Micky Mouse culture.
